We all got together to pack our equipment up at 2:00. There was no backline for this one, so we had to bring EVERYTHING. We hit the road at by 3:00 and made it in to Philadelphia at 4:45, 15 minutes before our 5:00 load in. It was then that we received a call from the club promoter...
"Hey guys, I was just calling to let you know that all of the shows for this weekend are canceled. Yeah, some guy blew his brains out in the place on Halloween and we've been shutdown by the city, being cited as some sort of heath hazard. So, just letting you know, don't bother coming."
... 15 minutes before load in.
We spent the next two hours driving around the city, walking into to every bar we saw, hoping to find a opening in somebody's schedule. Unfortunately, there was nothing available on such short notice. Either way, we'd like the thank everyone who tried to help us out last night and we hope to be back in Philly soon.
